Steam and validating
I recently posted this to the Steam Community, thinking that was a more appropriate place for it..they were useless (see for yourself), and I've always gotten better answers from Tom's users, so I'm hoping someone might have some insight into this.
I've run into an issue where when I run "Verify integrity of game cache" it ALWAYS finds files to validate.
To verify individual games on Steam do the following: While that is useful if you only need to verify one game or maybe two games, it is not really a solution if you need to verify all games you have installed on your system.
It simply takes to long and requires too much attention to be practicable.
While you could go ahead and remove games from Steam right away to install them anew, validation is often the better solution.
As to why the validation is happening automatically after updates download for these two games.
I've also run the Disk Checking tools from my C Drive Properties Tools menu, as well as run "chkdsk /f" which runs chkdsk on boot, neither run showed any errors in the drive.
